Holiday Traditions along the Westside Wine Trail

It looks like the wineries of the Westside Wine Trail are going to be having another popular event on their hands. On Sunday December 2nd the wineries will be hosting a new passport event which they plan on doing on an annual basis. It is called “Holiday Traditions along the Westside Wine Trail”.

The idea is visitors are to go from winery to winery with their passports to experience and discover what the holiday tradition is at that winery. It may be a special family recipe, a favourite wine that is always shared around the family table, or a delicious savory item that they always create for those holiday parties. There will be lots of sweet and savory treats, with some recipes to take away and if you time it right at certain wineries you may even see some of their other hidden talents come out to play (other than winemaking!). Rumor is some of them are quite good musicians!

Participating in this event is by donation or by a non-perishable food item. All donations will benefit the Westside Community Foodbank.  As it is a passport event, there is also a prize to be won at the end! If your passport is validated by 5 or more wineries it will be entered into a draw to win a Westside Wine Trail Sampler Prize.

The wineries welcome everyone from 11 am to 4 pm and for those who would prefer a guided tour – Distinctly Kelowna Tours and Uncorked Okanagan are offering their services. You can get pricing and booking information by visiting their websites directly.
