Parks and Beach Advisories


Due to extreme forest fire ratings as well as the continuing work in our parks from the high water levels in May and June some parks and beaches are temporarily closed. Please find below an updated list of parks and beaches that have recently re-opened as well as ones that have been newly closed temporarily.

Beaches & Parks open 

  • Paddlewheeler Park – Pritchard Drive
  • Pritchard Park – Pritchard Drive
  • Aberdeen Park – West Bay Road
  • Casa Loma Dock (opens Thursday, July 20)
  • Osprey Park – Green Bay Road (opens Saturday, July 22)
  • Willow Beach – Gellatly Road
  • Marina Beach – Gellatly Road
  • Pebble Beach – Whitworth Road
  • CNR Wharf – Gellatly Road
  • Rotary Beach – Gellatly Road
  • Gellatly Landing Park – Gellatly Road
  • Casa Rio Park – Casa Rio Drive
  • John Dupuis (Casa Loma) Boat Launch – Casa Loma Road
  • Gellatly Boat Launch – Gellatly Road
  • Casa Loma Waterfront Access – Casa Loma Road (south)
  • Gellatly Nut Farm Regional Park
  • Shannon Lake Regional Park

  • Trepanier Creek Green Way Regional Park


Smith Creek Trails and McDougal Rim are on Crown land and it is advised to stay off of these trails as well.



Gellatly Rd from Witt Rd to Angus Dr is now open.

    Is Kalamoir Park and beach still closed.
