UPDATED: TRAILS ARE NOW OPEN

Due to large volumes of spring runoffs, a couple of local trails are closed until further notice. Both the City of West Kelowna and the Regional District of the Central Okanagan issued public service announcements on April 20, 2016 informing the public of these closures.

The Rotary Trails Park is closed until further notice with the City of West Kelowna’s Parks Department monitoring the situation and they will reopen it once it is safe to do so.

Glen Canyon Regional Park is also seeing closures with the park trails from Brown Rd to and including the Gellatly Road parking lot being closed due to high, fast flowing water from Powers Creek.

People are reminded that waters levels in area creeks may rise unexpectedly and should stay back from creek banks.
