The entertainment returns to Kinsmen Park this Friday, July 30 with headliners JUNO nominated Dirt Road Opera performing at 7:40 and soulful opening act Leila Neverland at 6:40 p.m.

Dirt Road Opera’s Rachel Matkin, Barry Mathers and Jim Ryan have contributed their tremendous talents and Americana-inspired music to albums by Canadian country band the Cruzeros and their own debut anthology, Nowheresville. Lead singer Matkin and musician Ryan, classically trained since the age of three, bring life to Mathers’s award-winning songwriting. Mathers adds his vocal skills to the trio creating effortless harmonies with Matkin. Find them on Facebook and YouTube @dirtroadopera.

Leila Neverland’s undeniable talent gets rave reviews. She delivers a great mix of smooth soul and fired-up performances that leave audiences is awe. She draws inspiration from her Persian-Jewish roots and has lent her musical talents to difference making, releasing her latest single, River, as a fundraiser for the Okanagan’s Syilx Language House. Her motivational five-record album, Little Big Storm, is being released later this year. Find her on Instagram @leilaneverland.

Remember to dress for weather and bring your own blankets, chairs, sun umbrellas and water. Food trucks will be on site and we will offer activities for the kids.

Parking is limited; so we highly recommend ridesharing. And if the concert venue in upper field of the park fills up, feel free to set up chairs and blankets in nearby areas of the park to enjoy the show.
