Cross Country Skiing & Snowshoeing
At Telemark Cross Country Ski area, it is about relaxing, having fun and being close to nature. Located just 20 minutes from Westbank Centre, you can spend more time hitting the slopes and trails and less time in your car getting there. Not into cross country skiing? Then hit the trails with some snowshoes strapped on. It is a great way to gain access to beautiful winter wonderland sites.
Ice Skating
Winter just wouldn’t be winter without a little ice skating. Head to the local skating rinks of Jim Lind Arena or Royal LePage Place and enjoy family skate time or when the weather is cold enough Shannon Lake is a popular spot for outdoor ice skating. Just watch out for the ice fishermen!

See the hockey stars of tomorrow at one of the BCHL hockey games that the West Kelowna Warriors play in. If the roar of the crowd doesn’t get you fired up, the spirited play of these junior hockey players surely will!

Winter Hiking
Hiking can be enjoyed year-round in the Okanagan. Popular winter hikes include Glen Canyon Regional Park, Kalamoir Regional Park and Bear Creek Provincial Park. During the winter, the parks are usually open dawn to dusks and it should be noted that parking lot space can be limited due to limited maintenance from November to March.
