FAQs visiting our farms.
To make the most of your visit, keep these FAQs in mind:
- Are the fruit stands and farms open every day? Each farm is open different hours and days. It is best to check ahead to see when they are open and what produce and fruit they have available.
- Can I bike to each farm? The orchards and farms along the farm loop are on hilly, rural roads. They do not have bike lanes and it would be difficult to ride without an e-bike.
- Do I need to book ahead or can I just show up? Most of the time you can show up, but it is good to check ahead to see if they have any fruit available for picking the day you want to go.
- What should I keep in mind when visiting working farms? As these are active farms, please stay within designated visitor areas and be mindful of tractors and equipment.
- Do the farms and fruit stand accept credit or debit cards? While many locations accept cards, some smaller “honour system” stands are cash-only or will accept e-transfers.
- What should I wear for a visit to the Westside Farm Loop? Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and bring a hat and sunscreen.
- Any final tips? Bring a cooler in the car to keep your fruit and berries fresh for the ride home!
