Westside Multiculturalism Day West Kelowna

Westside Multiculturalism Day

Multiculturalism Day in West Kelowna

Westside Multiculturalism Day is a free, family‑friendly celebration that showcases the rich cultural diversity found in West Kelowna and the Greater Westside. Hosted in partnership with the Westbank Museum and many cultural groups and community organizations, the event brings residents and visitors together in the heart of West Kelowna for a full day of performances, activities, and discovery.

During the event guests can wander through cultural pavilions representing communities from around the world. Each pavilion offers something different, such as conversations with local cultural groups, traditional activities, displays, and small food samples that highlight unique flavours. Families can also take part in an interactive cultural passport activity, collecting stamps as they explore and entering for a chance to win prizes.

Live entertainment runs throughout the day, featuring music, dance, and storytelling that reflect the many cultures that call West Kelowna home. Food trucks are usually on site as well, giving visitors plenty of choices for lunch or a mid‑day treat.

As the event continues to grow each year, Westside Multiculturalism Day has become a welcoming place to learn, celebrate, and connect as a community. The organizers gratefully acknowledge the Government of Canada for its support in making the event possible.

For 2026 the event will take place on the fields at CNB and in 2027 it will move back to Memorial Park. Check our event calendar in May for a full schedule of events.
