Come Join West Kelowna’s Hockeyville Party

There is excitement and anticipation in the air around West Kelowna these days and it is due to Saturday’s big announcement of ‘which community will be the next Kraft Hockeyville’. Organizers have a party planned and the community is invited to come, have some fun and meet up with their neighbours over some good old fashioned hockey themed events. From pancake breakfasts, hockey games, meeting former NHLers to the ugliest Don Cherry jacket contest, it is sure to be a fun filled day.

It all takes place at Royal LePage Place with the festivities beginning at 8 am and lasting throughout the day. The last event will be the viewing of the Vancouver Canucks game and the live announcement. Spread the word, come on down and join in the community spirit!

8am – 10am – FREE Pancake breakfast in the courtyard

10am – 11am – Minor Hockey Novice Exhibition Game

11am – 1pm – Minor Hockey Atom Division Skills Camp on ice conducted by Warriors coaches and players with special guest, former NHLer Bobby Holik

1pm – 2:30pm – FREE Public Skate at Royal LePage Place, open to all families

2:45pm – 3:45pm – FREE Firefighters vs Media celebrities hockey game (Royal LePage Place)

4pm – 6:30pm – FREE Tailgate party & barbeque in the courtyard – Ugliest Don Cherry Jacket contest at 5pm!

7:00pm – 9:30pm – FREE Vancouver Canucks televised game inside Royal LePage Place (Doors to the public open at 6:15pm – winners announcement at 7:45pm)

They will also have activities, crafts, merchandise for sale, a bouncy house, live music throughout the day from 8am – 6:30 pm and more!
