Harvest Season in West Kelowna

Harvest and apple picking in West Kelowna

Fall is a favourite season for many. With the crisp fresh air, changing colours, and fall harvest is there really anything better? Visiting an orchard to pick apples or stopping by a fruit stand to get ready picked veggies and fruit is a fun activity and a great way to spend the afternoon!

The air is fresh and crisp along the Farm Loop and harvest is starting to wind down, but you can still get apples, pears, squash, corn, peppers, tomatoes, nuts, pumpkins and various veggies at our stands. Whether you want to take in the fall colours or pick some fruit, there is a place along West Kelowna’s Westside Farm Loop for you!

Items available at this time of year include:

Pears, apples, squash, peppers, tomatoes, pumpkins and nuts

If looking to pick some fruit, here are some tips:
  • Check the orchard/farm websites to see what is available for picking.
  • When at the orchard/farm check in with the staff to see what section of the orchard you can pick in.
  • When picking fruit, pick up the fruit, roll it upwards off the branch and twist the stem a bit. Please do not pull down on the fruit and you may injure the tree. If it doesn’t come off easily, it is not ready.
  • Wear sturdy shoes as orchards can have uneven spots and be unmowed.
